What the charity does

The charity primarily operates leisure centres for community use within Northampton. This involves the full range of leisure and health activities normall associated with these types of facilities. We provide swimming lessons for children as well as play and diversionary activities in the community We also provide support to club and societies.

Charitable objects

(1) To promote for the public benefit the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation for individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving their conditions of life.(2) To advance health for the public benefit by promoting participation in healthy exercise and physical activity. (3) To advance education in the arts for the public benefit in particular but not exclusively by the maintenance and management of a cinema.(4) To advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disability, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances in particular but not exclusively by the maintenance and management of a children's day-care nursery.
