What the charity does

We operate a large community based 'Health & Wellbeing Centre' located in a deprived area of North Halifax. Charitable objects

The objects of the company are for the benefit of the public ("the objects"):4.1. To further or benefit the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents particularly (but not exclusively) by:-4.1.1. Establishing or securing the establishment of a community site for activities promoted by the company (hereinafter referred to as "the community site"); and4.1.2. Maintaining and managing or co-operating with any local statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such community site; 4.2. To prevent or relieve poverty in the area of benefit by providing grants, items and services to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty; and4.3. To promote such other purposes recognised as charitable under the laws of England and Wales in such parts of the United Kingdom as the directors from time to time may think fit.
