What the charity does

Expia works to reduce re-offending by providing real work and training opportunities for risk assessed prisoners on day release. Helping prisoners to understand the impact of their crimes on victims, families and the wider society make reparation for their crimes by volunteering and helping the local community.

Charitable objects

To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded and assisting them to integrate into society by:carrying on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to reduce reoffending by working in partnership with hmps, other relevant partners and the community.to engage offenders in real work and training and to develop routes to successful employment, reintegration and resettlement.(for the purpose of this clause "socially excluded" means being excluded from society as a result of the individual being a convicted offender starting to make reparation for their crime and rehabilitating into society.)
