What the charity does

As well as publishing educational literature which is distributed worldwide, the trustees have established a community centre in Mian, near Faisalabad in Pakistan, where educational programmes and social facilities are provided including feeding the poor and providing clean water together with free medical treatment by qualified doctors including the treatment of eye cataracts and dental services.

Charitable objects

1.The advancement of education for the public benefit by the provision of books and other literature designed to advance education 2.To further or benefit the residents of faisalabad, pakistan, and the surrounding area, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions, by the provision of facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents, including the relief of poverty, sickness and suffering. In furtherance of these objects but not otherwise, the trustees shall have power:to establish or secure the establishment of community centres and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such centres for activities promoted by the charity in furtherance of the above objects.nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the cio for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the charities and trustee investment (Scotland) act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (northern ireland) 2008.?
