The object of the cio is the relief of people suffering from cancer or a life limiting illness or condition (beneficiaries) by the provision of: (a) Hospitals, hospices, clinics and other facilities and equipment for the treatment and care of beneficiaries; (b) Domiciliary and day care services for beneficiaries; (c) Medical and other staff for the provision of treatment or care for beneficiaries or those who provide ancillary functions; (d) Education and training for medical professionals in the treatment and care of people suffering from cancer or a life limiting illness or condition; (e) Financial support for beneficiaries, their families and carers; (f) Counselling, emotional support and respite care for beneficiaries and their families and carers both during illness and in bereavement and such other facilities and services to provide treatment or palliative care for beneficiaries.
