What the charity does

Provision of housing for people who in the judgement of the Trustees are of limited means financially, who are aged 55 and over and who live or have lived in Exeter or within a 10 mile radius, although exceptionally the Trustees may appoint a person living outside the area of benefit but otherwise qualified.

Charitable objects

The objects of the charity are:(1) The relief of poverty by the provision of housing accommodation for almshouse beneficiaries;(2) Such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide;(3)Subject to the provisions of clause 5 (power to dispose of and replace purpose property), the land identified in part 1 of the schedule to this scheme must be retained by the trustees for use for the objects of the charity.

Area of benefit: The Area of Benefit Means the Area Falling Within a Fifteen Mile Radius From the Guildhall, High Street, Exeter.
