What the charity does

The Limehouse Project was set up in 1984 in Tower Hamlets and manages and delivers an extensive range of services designed to implement the organisation's mission statement: to alleviate the difficulties and help realise the aspirations of the most disadvantaged members of local communities, particularly those of ethnic minority origin, women, young people and children.

Charitable objects

To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of tower hamlets and, at the discretion of the trustees, other areas of London, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education, to relieve poverty and need, to advance good health, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
