1)the provision of special benefits, of any kind not normally provided by the local education authority, for any voluntary schools and academies that were formerly voluntary schools serving the area of benefit, with preference being given to voluntary schools and academies that were formerly voluntary schools within ambleside2)in promoting the education (including social and physical training) of persons under the age of 25 who are resident in the area of benefit and are in need of financial assistance.3) any surplus income may be applied for the above objects in patterdale ward and former county of westmoreland.
